In order to become a Knight, you must have arrest authority, ride and own a motorcycle within 6 months of filling out and sending in your application.  The dues are $25 for new members, and $20 per year for current member renewals, and payable in January.  Those who join after January will have their dues pro-rated. The Blue Knights were chartered in 1974 in Bangor, Maine and there are Blue Knights Chapters world wide.  Texas XVII was established in 1998.
